Gerald Matthews

With over 30 years experience in the accounting industry, Gerald understands the needs and requirements of running a successful business and the process involved in assisting the growth and development of larger entities.  

As one of the Principals at Camerons and head of the Financial Planning department, Gerald specialises in business taxation, financial projections and wealth creation. He also has a passion for identifying the underlying financial needs of small enterprises assisting with their growth.

Gerald is a member of both the Australian Institute of Management and Tax Institute of Australia. As an accredited PIS representative, Gerald also provides highly sought after financial advice to a range of clients.

Gerald’s expertise includes extensive involvement within the hotel and mining industries; more recently as a director of  mining company ‘Allmine’ that provides services to the mining industry throughout Australia, Fiji and Asia. Gerald therefore understands the need for thorough knowledge and comprehensive planning.

Gerald understands the importance of balancing a career whilst maintaining his life outside Camerons, and with a great family as support, he regularly enjoys many sporting pursuits such as a round of golf or a session at the gym.
